Impressions
  • Cable is nice and thick but is quite microphonic due to its materials.
  • Shell is really pretty and gorgeous, but fit is not the best as the shell is really big and bulky.
  • Balanced U-shaped tonality
  • Bass
    • Most impressive part to me. Full of impact. Not sure if its because of the BC implementation, but it slams and thumps hard with enough depth and speed.
  • Midrange
    • Although it is slightly recessed, it is quite clean overall.
    • There is some warmth to provide some lushness and body.
    • Upper midrange is smooth and decently engaging as well, without being shouty or fatiguing.
  • Treble
    • Treble is very smooth overall.
    • Has enough sparkle to me but treble heads may want more.
    • Very well extended and has a very airy feeling to it ... but it becomes slightly unnatural to me.
  • Technicalities
    • Technicalities is good but not mind blowing if compared to something like the QDC Anole VX.
  • Overall, I think that it is a surprisingly well tuned IEM coming from Kinera, which is a huge step into the right direction. However, the price is very hard to be justified as the competition up here is just too insane like the Elysian Annihilator and QDC Anole VX. The lack of a truly outstanding factor also contributes to the lack of justification to the price.
  • Personally, I'm really excited to see if Kinera is able to offer this level of tuning capabilities down to a more affordable level in the near future!
